Living in Uptown Dallas: Reviews of a Prominent Residential Tower

When this project was first covered in 2021, it was making headlines as the tallest residential tower in Uptown Dallas. Developed by Hines and designed by Houston-based firm Muรฑoz + Albin, the building rose 39 stories above Victory Park and delivered 364 apartments along with 18 penthouses. Construction photos from March 2020 show the tower mid-rise, cranes in place, and the orange-clad upper levels just beginning to take shape.

Construction and History

The Victor was completed in 2021 at a cost of about $150 million. It covers roughly 875,000 square feet and includes apartments ranging from compact 538-square-foot layouts to penthouses topping 3,000 square feet. The towerโ€™s features include a 36th-floor sky deck, a ninth-floor pool, and an extensive amenities package that set a new standard for Uptown living at the time of opening.

The 2020 construction images now serve as a historical marker of how quickly the Victory Park skyline has evolved. What was once an active construction site is now one of the cityโ€™s most recognizable residential towers.

Location and Setting

The tower stands at 3039 Nowitzki Way in Victory Park, within walking distance of the American Airlines Center and the Katy Trail. Its central location provides residents with immediate access to restaurants, entertainment, and downtown Dallas.

Reviews highlight the convenience of this location, though some residents note that the same proximity brings noise from Victory Park events and heavy traffic. Itโ€™s a trade-off between accessibility and tranquility that comes with living in the heart of Uptown.

Resident Reviews

Today, the tower carries a 4.6-star rating on Google from more than 200 reviews. Residents consistently praise the panoramic skyline views, luxury finishes, and full suite of amenities, including the pool, sky lounge, and fitness facilities. Staff professionalism and responsiveness are also highlighted as strengths.

The most common critiques focus on cost. Rent and fees place the building at the top end of the Dallas market, and some residents feel the price doesnโ€™t always match expectations. Parking is another recurring issue, particularly limited visitor spaces. Reviews also point to management communication challenges and the noise of nearby events as ongoing drawbacks.

Even with these trade-offs, most reviews agree the tower delivers on its promise as a modern luxury high-rise. Several years after completion, it remains one of the most desirable residential addresses in Dallas.

Location

The location was once a parking lot as shown in the Google Street View images. The Victor is located a walking distance from the American Airlines Center and the W Hotel.
