This Closed Dallas Fast-Food Location Can’t Catch a Break

The building at 3106 Forest Lane in Dallas has hosted a string of fast-food concepts over the years. It was previously home to Long John Silver’s, which operated for several years before closing in late 2019. After that, the site sat vacant but remained structurally intact and visible from the busy Forest Lane corridor.

Renovation and a New Concept

In July 2021, the property underwent a significant remodel with an investment of $500,000. The work, completed by mid-2022, updated both the exterior and interior to prepare for a new tenant. That tenant was Lucky’s Hot Chicken, a Nashville-style fried chicken spot that brought a bold menu and fresh signage to the corner.

Closed by Late 2024, Now Vacant Again

Despite the makeover, Lucky’s Hot Chicken shut down within roughly a year of opening. A November 2024 Street View image shows the building still branded but displaying a “For Lease” sign, confirming its closure. As of August 2025, the property remains vacant with no known redevelopment plans or active business listings. It’s once again waiting for its next tenant.
