Buc-ee’s will officially open its first Mississippi location on Monday, June 9, 2025. The store is located off Interstate 10 at the Menge Avenue exit in Pass Christian. It will include 120 fuel pumps, 24 electric vehicle charging stalls, and a large car wash. Visitors can expect the brand’s well-known features: clean restrooms, brisket sandwiches, and a wide snack selection.
Location History and Site Development
The site remained undeveloped for decades. Before 2023, it was mostly woods and empty land with limited access roads. Construction began after a new overpass at Menge Avenue was completed in late 2024. This infrastructure project opened up direct access to both sides of the interstate.
The area has since become a hotspot for commercial growth. More than $1 billion in investment is planned for land between Menge Avenue and Kiln-Delisle Road. Buc-ee’s is seen as the anchor for this expansion.
Jobs and Local Response
The $50 million store will bring over 200 full-time jobs. Positions include benefits, paid time off, and 401(k) options. Local officials expect increased tax revenue and a boost in nearby development.
Buzz around the store has grown rapidly. Social media posts highlight excitement from both locals and travelers. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. on opening day.
