Construction is concluding on a new ALDI grocery store at 54 E Spring Mill Pointe Drive in Westfield. This will be the cityโs second ALDI, joining an active retail zone that includes Meijer and Goodwill. The store is part of the SpringMill Pointe development just off State Road 32, where new businesses continue to emerge.
Site work began in 2024, with excavation and utility installation visible by October. A โComing Soonโ sign was already visible at that time. By November, foundation work had progressed, though vertical construction was not yet evident. As of spring 2025, job listings remain active, and the location appears on ALDIโs grand openings page. No opening date has been confirmed, but signs point to a launch later this year.
The Siteโs Transformation from Farmland to Retail Zone
Back in 1999, the future ALDI site was untouched farmland. There were no side streets, no retail buildings, and no signs of commercial activity. State Road 32 existed, but the surrounding land remained undeveloped and rural.
Over the years, that farmland gave way to modern infrastructure and a new retail landscape. Roadways, drainage systems, and sidewalks were built to support a growing population. Large retailers moved in, turning the area into one of Westfieldโs busiest corridors. The ALDI development is the latest in a string of projects reshaping this stretch of the city.

A Strategic Addition to Westfieldโs Expanding Retail Hub
The storeโs location is ideal for serving Westfieldโs growing population. Easy access to State Road 32 and nearby neighborhoods makes it a practical choice for expansion. SpringMill Pointe has become a key destination for shopping and services.
Construction is concluding, and hiring is underway. ALDI has not released an official opening date, but the siteโs readiness suggests that the store may open in the second half of 2025. Once complete, it will offer shoppers another convenient option for groceries in Westfield.
