A new restaurant project is on the way to Georgetown, Texas. League Kitchen is preparing to begin construction on a 6,081-square-foot restaurant at 1411 IH 35. The project was filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. According to the filing, construction is scheduled to begin in July 2025, with a completion target of January 2026. The work is classified as ground-up new construction.
This will be a standalone structure within an already developed shopping center. No information has been released yet about the official opening date or leasing status. This will be the company’s first location in Georgetown.
A Former Wooded Lot Transformed Into Retail Space
The site at 1411 IH 35 sat undeveloped for years. Historical satellite imagery from 2003 and 2018 shows the area covered in brush and small trees. Informal walking paths were visible but no signs of prior commercial use. By 2021, construction had begun on a multi-building retail center just south of the Walmart Supercenter at University Avenue and I-35.
By late 2023, most of the site had been built out with restaurants, service businesses, and paved parking. The future League Kitchen will occupy one of the last remaining parcels in the complex. Its location places it near major traffic routes and within one of Georgetown’s busiest retail corridors.
League Kitchen & Tavern Expands Beyond Austin
League Kitchen & Tavern is operated by Tc4 & Co. Hospitality, a company based in Austin. The restaurant concept is known for offering American-style food in a tavern-like setting. Current locations include Avery Ranch, Bee Cave, Lakeway, and Belterra. The Georgetown location will be the group’s first outside its original cluster in the Austin area.
Each League Kitchen operates as a full-service restaurant with a menu that typically includes burgers, sandwiches, and entrees made from scratch. While no specific plans for the Georgetown menu have been announced, the location is expected to follow the established format.
