Will Things Improve?

As the months go by, will Chipotle in La Marque win over local diners, or will it continue to struggle with service issues?
La Marque, Texas

La Marque, once known as Highlands and Buttermilk Junction, is a residential community in Galveston County, Texas. The town, originally named “Highlands,” was renamed by Madam St. Ambrose in the 1890s. The name changed to Buttermilk Junction during the Civil War era due to a buttermilk trade. Over the years, La Marque evolved into a residential area supporting nearby industrial facilities. Recently, rising real estate costs in Galveston led to an influx of families, spurring growth.
Location History
This development area has seen significant changes over the years. Historical aerial images show that the region remained largely undeveloped until around 1958, when FM 1764 was established. From 1992 onwards, Gulf Greyhound Park served as a prominent entertainment venue until its closure in 2020.
