Buc-ee’s has officially opened its Amarillo, Texas location at 9900 East I-40. The travel center began welcoming customers on December 16, 2024, at 6 a.m., ahead of its originally projected February 2025 opening date.
Construction and Development
Construction for this massive project began in October 2023. It followed the resolution of a land dispute that had previously delayed the start of the project. The land, situated near Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, was transformed into a 74,000-square-foot travel center. This location is the first Buc-ee’s in the Texas Panhandle.
