The Monteverde development in El Paso, located at the northeast corner of Joe Battle Boulevard and Pellicano Drive, has recently welcomed a new Taco Bell at 12367 Pellicano Drive.
This addition joins existing establishments, including a McDonald’s at 12363 Pellicano Drive.
Monteverde’s development began in 2020 with the introduction of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a 10-screen theater featuring approximately 1,000 luxury recliners and an attached full-service bar and restaurant.
The area has transformed significantly over the decades. In the 1960s, it was a barren stretch with dirt roads.
By 1991, aerial snapshots showed the untouched terrain prior to urban development, bordered by Loop 375.
By 2023, the landscape had evolved into a bustling commercial hub, highlighting the area’s growth from barren lands to a vibrant community.
