The Chick-fil-A at 8440 Highway 6 North in Houston is undergoing demolition and reconstruction. According to state filings, the project was to begin this past November, with an expected completion date of March 2025.
The scope of work includes demolishing the existing building, dumpster, curb cut, and parking lot. A new 5,663-square-foot fast-food restaurant with drive-through lanes, canopies, site improvements, and signage will be constructed in its place.
This initiative is part of Chick-fil-A’s broader strategy to modernize older locations and enhance capacity to better serve customers. The company, founded in 1946 as Dwarf Grill in Georgia, has grown into an Atlanta-based chain with over 3,000 locations worldwide.
For the most current information on the restaurant’s status and reopening, customers are advised to check the location’s social media channels or contact Chick-fil-A directly.
