Dallas Sprouts Coming soon: Here is The Location

A New Chapter for Fort Worth Avenue

Construction is underway for a new Sprouts Farmers Market at 2045 Fort Worth Avenue in Oak Cliff, marking a significant transformation for the historic site. This location, once home to Elrod’s Cost Plus Supermarket and Crown Buffet since 1991, is set to become a modern retail hub featuring Sprouts and additional restaurant spaces.

Project Updates and Timeline

The project broke ground in December 2024, with all buildings expected to be completed by September 2026. Recent aerial images show significant site preparation and early construction work, with crews actively shaping the future of this retail corridor.

A Look at the Site’s Evolution

This corner of Fort Worth Avenue has seen multiple transformations over the decades. Aerial imagery from the 1950s reveals a strip mall before the construction of Interstate 30, which reshaped the area in 1957. The 1991 development remained largely unchanged until the recent demolition, making this one of the most notable redevelopments in Oak Cliff’s modern history.

What’s Next?

As construction continues, residents can expect a fresh grocery option and new dining choices in the coming years. Sprouts Farmers Market’s expansion aligns with the broader revitalization efforts happening along Fort Worth Avenue.
