A New DFW H-E-B Is Being Built at This Location

H-E-B has officially commenced construction on a new store at the northwest corner of Cheek-Sparger Road and Rio Grande Boulevard, straddling Euless and Bedford. This 126,000-square-foot store, located within the Glade Parks Shopping Center near Texas State Highway 121, is expected to open in mid-2026.

In 2001 Rio Grande Boulevard had not been built as seen in this Google Earth aerial view.

The site is adjacent to prominent retailers and eateries, including a QuikTrip to the east and a recently opened Salad and Go. A Walmart Supercenter lies immediately south across Cheek-Sparger Road, which may experience increased traffic due to the new development.

23 years later the area has seen significant development with the new H-E-B coming soon.

The store will include a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru and a True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru.
Other features include an expanded grocery pick-up area, H-E-B Fuel station with car wash, and freshly made sushi offerings.
The location will also showcase signature tortillas, a deli with cheese and charcuterie island, and a full-service bakery.

Historical aerial images reveal that, as far back as the 1950s, this area was primarily farmland. The 1980s saw the completion of Highway 121, and the early 2000s marked the start of construction at Glade Parks with a Super Target. H-EB Construction should be complete in 2026. Keep an eye out for more updates on this development.
