Costco Will Build a New Store in West Texas City: Here is The Location

Midland, Texas will welcome a new Costco at the intersection of Texas State Highway 158 and Texas State Highway 191 on the western edge of the city. With 182,000 square feet of space, according to TDLR filings, this will be a significant addition to the area. Construction is scheduled to start in December, and completion is projected for April 2025.

Looking back at historical images, such as the one from 1995, it’s clear that this part of Midland has seen minimal development over the decades. The open land has remained largely untouched since at least the 1950s, a stark contrast to the rapid suburban expansion seen in the 2023 aerial image, with nearby residential projects cropping up as Costco prepares to move in.

This transformation highlights how this part of Midland is evolving from largely undeveloped land to a growing suburban area, with major retail projects leading the charge.
