Here is What Replaced Terrytown’s last K-Mart

K-Mart closed it’s store in Terrytown, Louisiana store over 8 years ago and it remained abandoned for years before being replaced by a Extra Storage Space facility. The K-Mart, which was located at 2703 Belle Chasse Highway, had been open for more than 30 years. The building is in a small shopping center that is almost 8 miles southeast of downtown New Orleans.

Recently, the building was converted into into the current self storage facility with 605 warehouses and storage for boats and caravans.

In the 2020 census, Terrytown had a population of 25,278.
Terrytown was named after by subdivision developer Paul Kapelow’s daughter.
