Location History of the New Lincoln Katy Trail Project In Dallas ⋆ SprawlTag.com

Construction of the controversial Lincoln Katy Trail Project is ongoing in the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas. Currently, buildings standing 70 feet tall with 5 and 6 stories are rising at the 3200 block of Carlisle Street. Despite opposition from some residents, the Dallas City Council approved the project in 2021. The new development will feature over 300 rental units. To accommodate this, 115 units of the Turtle Creek Condominiums, erected in 1964, were demolished. Back then, those condominiums replaced houses with backyards, visible in aerial images from the 1950s. The Katy Trail Project will include an underground controlled-access parking garage, new landscaping, and additional amenities.
