New Lowe’s Coming To DFW: This Is The Site

Princeton, Texas, is getting a major upgrade with the arrival of Lowe’s Home Improvement, set to open at the Princeton Town Center development along U.S. Highway 380. This isn’t just another store—it’s a sign of just how much this once-quiet town is growing.

What’s Happening?

Lowe’s is bringing 107,136 square feet of home improvement goods to Princeton, making it a go-to spot for local homeowners, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts. Construction is expected to start in August 2025 and wrap up by October 2026.

But Lowe’s isn’t coming alone. Princeton Town Center is shaping up to be a retail powerhouse, featuring stores like Market Street grocery, Hobby Lobby, and Texas Roadhouse—plus over 35 national retailers. This is a big deal for a town that, not long ago, was mostly open fields.

A Look Back: Then vs. Now

If you drove down Highway 380 in the 1990s or early 2000s, you’d see a whole lot of farmland, scattered buildings, and open space. Fast forward to today, and the transformation is incredible. The area is now packed with new neighborhoods, shopping centers, and a growing commercial district.

Aerial images from 1995, 2001, and 2023 show just how much has changed—what was once rural land is now a thriving community. And with Lowe’s setting up shop, it’s clear Princeton is no longer just a stop along the highway—it’s becoming a retail destination.

What’s Next?

With construction still months away, the project is currently in its final planning and permitting stages. Once complete, Lowe’s will not only provide a convenient home improvement option but also create jobs and boost local tax revenue.

For Princeton residents, this is yet another sign that the city’s growth isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The town that once had to drive to neighboring cities for big-box shopping will soon have everything right at its doorstep.
