Southern California Will Have a New Costco Soon: Here is The Location

Highland, California, will welcome its first Costco Wholesale warehouse in March 2025, marking a significant milestone in the city’s development. The groundbreaking ceremony occurred on August 22, 2024, at the site on the north side of Greenspot Road, east of State Route 210.

Historical Evolution of the Area

The Greenspot Road vicinity has undergone a substantial transformation over the years. Historically, this area was characterized by vast open spaces and agricultural lands, reflecting Highland’s rural roots. As the city expanded, the demand for commercial and retail spaces grew, leading to infrastructure development to support the community’s needs.

The introduction of the new Costco is a testament to this evolution. The warehouse will feature a gas station equipped with both gasoline and electric charging stations, catering to the modern consumer’s needs. Notably, diesel options will not be available at this location.

Economic and Community Impact

The new Costco will bring significant economic benefits to Highland. The project is expected to create approximately 1,400 new jobs, boosting local employment opportunities. Additionally, the warehouse will generate increased tax revenue, contributing to the city’s financial health and enabling further community development initiatives.
