This Orlando Community Will Welcome a New Target In 2025

Lake Nona, in southeast Orlando, will soon welcome a Target store. The store will anchor the new Lake Nona West Shopping Center. Located along Lake Nona Boulevard, it is just half a mile east of Boggy Creek Road. This 149,000-square-foot store will be a significant addition to the area.

From Pastures to Progress: The Area’s Evolution

Aerial images from 1994 show Lake Nona as farmland with few roads or infrastructure. Over the decades, this landscape changed dramatically. By 2022, the area had modern infrastructure and development, thanks to community planning and nearby highways like FL-417. The new Target store will sit where open fields once dominated.
