McDonald’s is building a new restaurant at 2040 Aldine Mail Route Road, next to Aldine Plaza Shopping Center in Houston, as per TDLR filings. The location is near the intersection of Aldine Mail Route Road and Aldine Westfield Road, close to the expansive Keith-Weiss Park. This new restaurant will span approximately 4,200 square feet and is expected to be complete by October. The area boasts a rich history, with aerial images dating back to the 1930s and the establishment of the Aldine Mail Route in the 1950s.
