Allen, Texas, is preparing to welcome a new Costco warehouse at the southeast corner of Stacy Road and State Highway 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway). This highly anticipated addition will occupy 22 acres and further expand the city’s rapidly growing retail and commercial landscape.
The new Costco warehouse will cover a massive 159,605 square feet, offering Allen residents and nearby communities access to a wide range of bulk goods, groceries, electronics, and other popular Costco products. The facility will include 859 parking spaces to accommodate the high volume of expected visitors.
During a June planning and zoning meeting, the city approved the necessary zoning changes, clearing the way for the project. Construction began on October 1, 2024, with a projected completion date of June 30, 2025. Once finished, this warehouse will almost certainly become a major shopping destination in the area for local shoppers.
Evolution of the Area:
The intersection of Stacy Road and Highway 121 has seen an increase in development over the past 10 years. What was once largely farmland is slowly evolving into a commercial hub. The new Costco will accelerate this transformation with convenient one-stop bulk shopping for everything from groceries to electronics, home goods, and more.
