Fort Worth’s Fire Station 16 Will Move to This New Site

Fire Station 16 will move to a new location in the same area from 5933 Geddes Avenue to 5701 Lovell Avenue in the Como neighborhood of Fort Worth. The two locations are about half a mile apart. The current fire station was built in the 1960s, the same decade the now-closed Edmondson’s Fried Chicken was built. Both buildings will be demolished. The new fire station will be built on the site of the Edmondson’s building, with construction expected to be complete by December 2025.
