New Oak Cliff Sprouts is Coming soon: Here is The Location

By Spring 2025, the northeast corner of Fort Worth Avenue and Hampton Road in North Oak Cliff will welcome a new Sprouts Farmers Market. The upcoming store, at 2045 Fort Worth Avenue, received rezoning approval after a previous failed attempt. In March 2023, the Dallas City Council voted to rezone the site. As a result, the two existing businesses will be replaced by a Sprouts store and some restaurants.

The location was previously home to the now-closed Elrod’s Cost Plus Supermarket and a Chinese-themed restaurant called Crown Buffet. Both buildings opened in 1991. Elrod’s is a family-owned grocer with multiple locations throughout DFW.

Sprouts offers a wide selection of organic foods and produce. The company, founded in Arizona in 2002 by the Boney family, operates over 380 stores across more than 20 states and employs over 35,000 people.

Location History

Historical aerial images of the site date back to the 1950s. The most significant change since then is Interstate 30 to the north, known as the Dallas–Fort Worth Turnpike until 1977.
