Quick Quack Car Wash, originating from California, will soon open its second DFW Metroplex carwash at 701 Airport Freeway in Hurst, Texas. The first location is in Arlington. Located just north of the Hurst Super Target, next to McDonald’s, the new site previously housed an Outback Steakhouse, demolished in 2015. Until the Outback’s construction, the land had remained undeveloped since the 1950s. The mid-1960s saw the construction of Airport Freeway in this area.

Founded in 2004 in California, Quick Quack operates more than 230 conveyor-type car washes across the United States. Their website highlights their quick, 3-minute vehicle cleaning service and mentions the availability of free vacuums at most locations.

This 2024 aerial image shows the lot empty almost 10 years after the Outback Restaurant was razed. The most notable difference in the area is the expanded Texas State Highway 183.
