Aerial images from 1952 show the area void of any type of development. It remained that way until the late 1960s when Interstate 35 West was built.

The Home Depot was built in the early 2000s as Fort Worth’s urban sprawl reached the area. Studio 6 is operated by Motel 6, a hotel chain owned by the Blackstone Group. Motel 6 was founded in Santa Barbara, California, back in 1962.
