This Is Where Giant Plans To Build It’s Jenkintown Store

The prominent supermarket chain The Giant Co has announced plans to open a new store in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. A residential town north of Philadelphia. The new store will be located at the corner of Old York Road and Wyncote Road. It will be approximately 50,000 square feet and a part of a larger proposed redevelopment project in Jenkintown.

The new Giant will be on Old York Road.

The new Giant supermarket, set to bring over 100 new job opportunities to the local community, will commence construction once municipal entitlements and permits are cleared.

The City of Jenkintown has approved the plans for the new Giant supermarket, with construction expected to start no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2023. The project carries an estimated cost of around $13 million.

The new supermarket will replace this closed Subaru dealership.

The Giant Company currently operates 21 stores in Montgomery County, employing nearly 3,900 team members. The store’s amenities and opening date will be shared in the near future. The site is currently vacant, awaiting the start of the construction process.
