Location History

Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta is building a 2,420-room hotel and casino on Las Vegas boulevard. The 43-story building was approved by the Clark County Commission in October 2022. In addition to the hotel and Casino, the building will have an auto showroom, restaurants, convention space, and much more.

The new high-rise will be replacing multiple buildings on the southeast corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Harmon Avenue. Aerial images of the site date back to 1950.

Location History

Aerial image of the same location in 1950 when Las Vegas had a population of 24,624 concentrated in the downtown area to the north.
By the 1960s a hotel had been built on the site. Part of the hotel was a Travelodge Hotel before being closed in 2022.
In the nineties The Harley-Davidson Café building was built on the northern end of the site.
Street View of the site in 2009. The Harley-Davidson Café was opened in 1997 and closed 19 years later in 2016.
Tex Mex Tequila Bar & Grill replaced the café in 2020.
