The Galbraith Mixed-Use Residential Building In Dallas Texas
The Galbraith is a new mixed-use high-rise residential building currently under construction in downtown Dallas. It was designed by Perkins & Will and construction is being done by Suffolk Construction Company. Real-estate development company Matthews Southwest, headquartered in Lewisville, Texas, is behind the project. Construction will costs approximately $49.4 million. The city of Dallas invested $14 million into the project. Because of public funding, 51% of the units will be considered affordable.
The Galbraith will have 217 units and will be a mixed-income multifamily property. It will also include approximately 12,000 SF of retail space.

Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is approximately one mile west of The Galbraith. It is in the Dallas Independent School District.

Uptown Plaza Dallas is an upscale shopping plaza which offers retailers, elevated restaurants & a grocery market.
Cityplace Market is a Shopping plaza to the north of The Galbraith and has a mix of big-box retailers like Target and Officemax.
This aerial image taken in 1952 shows the same area before the expansion of U.S. Route 75. Several buildings were in the same location.
By the late 90’s the buildings were gone and the land was not developed.
Eventually the location was turned into a parking lot.
Sometime in 2019 construction for The Galbraith began.
